About the Role
As a Cultural Heritage Specialist, you will provide expert advice and support across the lifecycle of infrastructure projects, managing both Indigenous and non-Indigenous heritage matters. You will engage with Traditional Owner groups, heritage consultants, and government regulators to ensure compliance with all relevant legislation while fostering strong relationships with stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinating Cultural Heritage Management Plans and Agreements.
Providing specialist advice on heritage compliance and approvals.
Engaging with diverse stakeholders to facilitate project success.
Managing contractors and consultants delivering heritage services.
Supporting project teams with technical advice during incident management.
About You
You are an experienced professional with a deep understanding of cultural heritage management and legislation. Your ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders, including Traditional Owner groups, sets you apart. You thrive in dynamic environments, balancing competing priorities effectively while ensuring compliance and fostering strong relationships.
Essential Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor's degree in archaeology, heritage management, anthropology, law, or a related field.
At least five years of experience in cultural heritage management.
Proven ability to manage complex heritage matters and provide technical advice.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
