About the Opportunity
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a motivated Applications Team Lead within JORN, based at Edinburgh Parks, SA.
This role offers the chance to lead and manage a team of Applications Administrators and Database Administrators, responsible for the design, configuration, and support of all business systems applications across all JORN networks.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage a team of Applications Administrators and Database Administrators.
* Provide leadership and technical direction to the Applications Team.
* Coach direct reports in the achievement of development objectives.
* Contribute to the overall ICT strategy, technical direction, and vision.
* Manage the workload, priorities, and tasking of the Applications Team.
* Manage, monitor, and report progress of all applications-related activities.
* Manage the Applications roadmap and patching cycles.
* Manage software licences, budgets, and vendor support agreements for all business systems applications used on JORN.
* Engage in stakeholder management across ICT teams, project teams, and customer communities.
* Review and approve engineering changes within the scope of delegation.
* Comply with engineering processes and procedures as outlined by relevant management plans.
* Provide input and offer recommendations towards improvement of processes and standard procedures, and lead process improvement initiatives.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Proven experience leading a technical team.
* Demonstrated experience managing priorities and project deadlines.
* Experience in the administration of business systems applications such as Windchill, DOORS, Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence, Crowd, Bitbucket, Bamboo, Fisheye / Crucible), or Maximo.
* Understanding of database technologies, including Oracle and MSSQL.
* Familiarity with Linux (Red Hat) and Windows operating systems and environments.
* Familiarity with Agile / Scrum methodology.
* Experience in change management and configuration control.
* Familiarity with cyber security and Information Systems Security Policies and Procedures, including the Information Security Manual (ISM).
* Current NV1 / NV2 security clearance.
* Eligibility to be cleared for International Traffic In Arms (ITAR) regulations.
