The General Manager, Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) will lead a team of approximately 50 sales, service, application, customer support, and marketing associates. This critical leader will drive profitable revenue growth, build a strong commercial organization, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
This position reports to the Vice President of APAC Commercial Management and is part of the Asia Pacific Commercial Management Team located in Sydney/Melbourne, Australia.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
* Develop and lead long-term strategic plans to achieve customer experience, growth, and profitability goals.
* Build a high-performance team, supervise direct reports, and drive engagement actions for a best place to work culture.
* Ensure strong understanding of marketplace dynamics, including competitive and customer trends.
* Represent the organization in customer negotiations, trade shows, seminars, conferences, and other official occasions.
* Establish processes, metrics, and compensation programs to drive commercial functions.
* Proactively present, minimize, and manage business risks by establishing policies and procedures.
The essential requirements of the job include:
* Bachelor's Degree in a business or life sciences technical field, MBA preferred, with 20 years of work experience in the medical device, healthcare, or life science research industry.
* Substantial experience within a fast-growing, complex business arena as General Manager with P&L responsibility in ANZ.
* Demonstrated strong strategic and analytical skills, solid business acumen, experience in profit and loss management, and growth achievements.
* Ability to interface with and lead within a complex regional commercial team to achieve maximum results.
Languages: English, local languages a plus. Estimated 50% travel time with no constraints on travel within the ANZ/APAC region.
