About your opportunity:
Permanent full-time / Location: Kirwan Health Campus, Townsville
The Clinical Nurse Consultant collaborates with the Team Leader and Senior Occupational Therapist in relation to clinical and operational needs of the team. They oversee the functions of the nursing staff and are active in supporting the multidisciplinary team in the comprehensive care planning of consumers of MIRT.
All employees of the Mental Health Service Group may be required to work in other areas of the service.
About the Unit:
The Mobile Intensive Rehabilitation Team (MIRT) is a highly flexible and responsive recovery orientated multidisciplinary service, aimed at improving the quality of life for people with complex mental health needs that would benefit from more intensive support to maintain community living. It provides psychosocial rehabilitation to consumers with a goal of building on personal strengths, achieving recovery goals and improving health/illness management.

Generous remuneration package value up to $164,696 p.a. comprising:
Salary range of $5081.10 to $5516.60 p.f. (Nurse Grade 7)
Annual leave with 17.5% loading
12.75% employer contribution to superannuation.

Workforce Attraction Incentive Scheme:

Role Requirements:
Proof of qualification (Bachelor of Nursing), registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and possession of a current practising certificate.
This is a Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) risk role: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and Pertussis.
Highly Desirable:
Possession of a relevant postgraduate qualification in an appropriate field is highly desirable. Such experience may be discipline specific or have a service area focus.
While not mandatory, eligibility for appointment as an Authorised Mental Health Practitioner (AMHP) under the Mental Health Act 2016 would be well regarded.
Possession of class C drivers' licence.
Probation period may apply.
