Moruya is 305 kilometres south of Sydney and 175 kilometres from Canberra, offering charm and stunning coastal drives.What you'll be doingThe Community Mental Health Clinician provides recovery-focused clinical services including assessment, care coordination, intervention, liaison, and review for children and young people presenting with symptoms of mental illness, distress, and/or risk issues.Selection CriteriaTertiary Qualifications and current registration with Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency as a Registered Nurse, Occupational Therapist, or Psychologist OR Tertiary qualifications for Social Worker, Counsellor, or Welfare Officer with eligibility for membership in the relevant professional association.Demonstrated experience in the provision of contemporary clinical Child and Adolescent Mental Health practice including conducting mental health assessments and providing evidence-based interventions for children, adolescents, and their families/carers experiencing mental illness.Demonstrated understanding of the NSW Mental Health Act (2007).Understanding of the principles of mental health rehabilitation and recovery, with experience using a collaborative, strengths-based approach to care.Demonstrated high-level communication skills with the ability to engage and collaborate with consumers, their families, and other stakeholders, along with proficiency in computer literacy.Current unrestricted driver's licence and willingness to drive/travel as required.Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination against Specific DiseasesThis is a Category 'A' position, please read and understand NSW Health policy directive PD2024_015.
