About the Role:
Can you bring your expertise in power systems to our Aluminium Smelter to build a challenging and rewarding career with us?
Our Portland Smelter is looking for suitably qualified and experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team on a permanent basis within our switch-yard team.
You will play a key part in supporting our operations through:
1. Identifying long term opportunities for improvement through the provision of technical expertise with a focus on power systems equipment,
2. Providing single point accountability for engineering support within our operations,
3. Being a catalyst and contributing to improvements in performance in both the short and long term.
Your role as a Electrical Engineer will be challenging and diverse, and require a strong customer focus, great team mindset and a passion for continuous improvement.
Working Monday through Friday, with one flexi leisure day off every four-week period you will enjoy the challenges of a technical site role coupled with great work life balance.

What you can bring to the role:
To play a part in our ongoing success we are seeking someone with:
11. A tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering, with previous experience in power systems.
12. Experience of working in a heavy industrial, manufacturing or smelting environment.
13. An understanding of risk management and quality improvement.
14. The ability to build relationships and influence at all levels of the organisation with a customer centric mentality.
15. A track record in pro-active problem solving with your use of initiative and a desire to continuously improve business performance.
