At the Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA), we are seeking a Commercial Manager, for a 2 year fixed term contract, to lead and innovate within our IT function. As Commercial Manager you will play a pivotal in establishing and strengthening vendor relationships, ensuring compliance, and contributing to the overall success of the RBA. Key responsibilities include: Manage the Bank’s IT vendor portfolio, conducting strategic analysis, and overseeing contract management practices, ensuring proactive vendor relationship management. Benchmark the Bank’s vendor management practices against industry standards and drive innovation in IT vendor management. Establish effective interfaces with other IT teams to ensure vendor engagements align with strategic intent and contractual arrangements. Develop and maintain professional relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendors to deliver best practice vendor relationships and management practices. Support ongoing maturity of vendor management across the Bank. Contribute to the broader leadership team, sharing accountability with other leaders for overall performance of deliverables and outcomes. Skills & Experience Required: Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of IT vendor management practices. Extensive knowledge of Information Technology supplier market Demonstrated contract management skills, including facilitation of performance management reporting, contract governance and relationship management Knowledge of contract management with the demonstrated ability to establish and improve governance of technology contracts Excellent relationship-building skills to collaborate across departments and peer organisations.
