This role is a key member of the Finance Business Partner (FBP) team that provides financial support, strategic insights, and advice to the Advice & Enablement Functions including Technology, Strategy and Enterprise Services, Finance, People & Culture, Legal, Risk Management & Company Secretariat. This role provides key finance business partner support to internal customers to enable them to provide their services to end customers/clients.
Key Responsibilities:
* In conjunction with the FBP team & Business stakeholders, develop the Division’s 3 Year Plan including Business plans required by AFSL entities.
* Undertake the quarterly forecast process and Quarterly Business Reviews (QBR) with the Head of Finance – Advice & Enablement.
* Co-ordinate the monthly close for all Enablement Functions ensuring expenses are complete and accurate.
* Responsible for providing business and financial insights to Head of Finance – Advice & Enablement and Head of Planning & Reporting as part of monthly reporting, ASX quarterly announcements, and market releases.
* Provide financial support, analysis, and reporting for all strategic initiatives undertaken by the Division, including development of Financial Business Cases and benefits realization.
* Develop strong working relationships with the Business to ensure all financial requests/needs of the functions are met by the relevant Finance team(s).
* Work collaboratively with other team members and other Finance teams to ensure the team delivers consistently and to high quality.
What you will bring
* Relevant Finance/Accounting/Business or Commerce degree.
* Accounting qualifications (CA / CPA) preferred but not essential.
* 10+ years’ experience, preferably in Financial Services, in a similar management accounting, analysis, and/or business partnering role.
* Effective planning and organisational skills with a strong focus on executing in a changing environment.
* Strong relationship and networking skills.
* Must be commercially minded, with strong analytical skills and business acumen.
* Strong communication skills, coupled with critical thinking and ability to engage and influence across a wide range of stakeholders.
* Proven problem-solving capability and proactive ability to identify areas for process improvements and work with stakeholders to implement changes.
