About the Role The Department of Justice and Community Safety is seeking a Consultant to provide a critical role within the Operational Performance and Cultural Reform team supporting the Office of the Associate Secretary. The Consultant is responsible for undertaking reviews and analysis of business activities, mapping and articulating processes, navigating complex data sources, and identifying continuous improvement opportunities that will optimise the department's service delivery to the Victorian community. Some of your duties will include: Leading targeted operational and internal delivery reviews Using data-driven insights to make recommendations for optimising service delivery and improving community safety Developing strong working relationships with business units to capture necessary information, coordinate efforts and manage interdependencies Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement within the department's processes About you To be successful in this role, you will have: Data analysis and analytics: strong data analysis skills, including the ability to gather, clean, analyse and interpret data, and defining key performance indicators. Familiarity with business intelligence tools would be advantageous. Process modelling and analysis: proficiency in using process mapping tools and techniques to visually represent and effectively analyse and optimise complex business processes. Insight and recommendation synthesis: competence in synthesising research and analytical data to derive clear, actionable insights and recommendations. Qualifications Qualifications in fields such as business administration, information systems, data analytics, public administration, economics or cognate disciplines would be highly regarded.
