Add expected salary to your profile for insightsAgConnex is a grain storage and logistics company that operates a strong supply chain network based in the NSW Murrumbidgee Irrigation Area.Our partnership approach to business is built on strong grower agribusiness client relationships across the regions grain and agricultural commodity production systems through to key end users and export markets.We are in the process of reinvigorating our business, with new leadership and a fresh vision for our future that builds on our decades of successful operation.We recognize that great people are the key to our success, and we are searching for an exceptional person to join our team!The Role:We currently have a great opportunity for a full-time Weighbridge and Sample Stand Operator, to work alongside the Site Manager and a team of permanent Grain Handlers that together deliver a safe and effective service in receival, storage and outload of grain commodities via road, rail and container packing.In addition to assisting the Site manager in ensuring scheduled deliveries and operations of commodities are met on site, your key responsibilities include:Act as first point of contact for growers and direct all trucks incoming and outgoing commodities at siteMonitoring and ensuring that all commodity standards are met against GTA specifications and report any irregularitiesManage required record keeping regarding quality standards and ensuring that all permitted obligations and compliance requirements are metMaintaining all sampling equipment and ensuring calibration is performed as requiredConduct internal audits and implement exporting practicesSupervise a team of weighbridge and sample stand operators during our busy harvest intake periods.Work with the quality manager to ensure all quality targets are metYou:A quality-focused, hands-on individual with a background in commodities and an ability to implement procedures within a diverse operations team.Key skills and attributes:Excellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong attention to detail plus analytical and problem-solving skillsSelf-motivated with excellent planning, organisational and time management skillsAbility to engage and encourage a quality culture throughout the entire operationWillingness to work within an uncompromising safety cultureVery good IT literacyCurrent driver’s licenceThe following skills would be highly favourable to the position:DAFF “Authorised Officer” qualification.Prior experience in weighbridge and grain classificationPrior experience in bulk agricultural commodity management, preferably grainThe Rewards:Competitive renumeration packageVehicleAll training requiredWork within a leadership group supportive of career development
