Job Connect is looking for talented Mechanical Assemblers and Forklift ticketed Yardies to join a major brand in heavy vehicle manufacturing at their large, well-resourced Workshop in the Hendra area.
Join a team of diverse and knowledgeable mechanical professionals as they make these vehicles in sub-assembly teams using hand and power tools focusing on each section of the build across different models.
The Assembly role requires working experience in mechanical assembly, part replacement or servicing vehicles. The role involves:
* Follow drawings to assemble key modules and sections of the asset
* Use hand and power tools to assemble parts in sub-assembly teams.
* Potentially work in Pre-Delivery Inspection or Pre-Paint for final fit offs.
* Fit parts and accessories to complete work packages.
* Assist with hydraulic/pneumatic system assembly and fitting.
* Learn new skills through cross-training across multiple teams.
The Yardie role requires a Forklift Licence to be eligible - if you have a Dogger or HR licence either of these are highly desirable. The role involves:
* Use of Forklift to carry pallets of materials or heavy parts to support Assemblers
* Driving the HR Truck to fetch materials or make deliveries of parts when required
* Using DG licence to facilitate lifts of heavy vehicle frames and booms using crane support
* Staging parts, vehicle sections and materials to support Assembly and Warehouse
* General labouring and fetching of materials as required
