Monitoring IT services, raising incidents, updating dashboards, supporting Incident Management, and ensuring system health and proactive alert We are partnering with a consultancy who are seeking an Emergency Operations Centre Team Member to join them on a 12 month contract with their Government client based in Canberra, Melbourne, Sydney, or Brisbane. Day Rate: $500 per day Work Experience 1-3 Years Systems/technology/methodology Monitoring systems dashboards (e.g. Splunk), ITSM Service Now tool, ITIL methodology, MS office Qualifications in Computer Science, Engineering or similar areas: 1 years of IT experience minimum Basic understanding of ITIL methodology (For example, Incident Management, and monitoring and event management Key Activities : Contribute to Department overall Enterprise Operations Centre capabilities by improving processes and technology. Suggesting updates for continuous improvement to external System Availability dashboards; conducting ‘eyes on glass’ monitoring and situational awareness of “CLIENT” IT services across the MVE including but not limited to Systems, Applications, services, Networks, alerts and Events; raising Incidents when required via the “CLIENT” IT Service Management Tool (ServiceNow); monitoring the Environment against an agreed threshold; business intelligence to form business, operational and executive views for reporting; engaging proactively and reactively in all Incident Management activities from event detection to Incident closure; and assisting the ESM Service Provider with the ITSM and SIAM processes. Ensure smooth operation of EOC and coordination activities with respective stakeholders for issues related to components of EOC. Other activities outlined in detailed EOC capability document. Continuous Improvement : Monitoring within EOC: User Onboarding and Offboarding into EOC: Support and lead the onboarding and offboarding of Other Service Partners into the EOC through managing the roll-on process and associated administrative activities. Disaster Recovery Activities : Participate in DR Tests and simulations, when required by the Department. EOC MVE Orchestration and Coordination : Clearance Level Minimum Baseline with ability for NV1 (NV1 Preference) More Information around shifts Location expectation if they need to work from office location Anywhere in Australia. WFH 2 days a week, Work from Office 3 days a week, unless on shift outside of hours. Shift outside of hours is 100% virtual and not expected to be in the office. Number of shifts to be completed per week: Shift pattern is subject to change and can be modified to fit workforce and Client requirements. However, an estimate is 4 or 5 shifts per week. Duration of shift rotation: Shift duration Shift pattern duration and rotation subject to change and can be modified to fit workforce and Client requirements. However, shifts range from between 8 to 9 hours and allow for breaks. We are checking if this duration is legally allowed Actual hours / timing of the shifts: Shift hours and timing is subject to change and can be modified to fit workforce and Client requirements. However, current plan is a morning shift from 00:00 to 09:20. Mid Shift from 08:30 to 16:30, and evening shift from 15:30 to 00:50.
