There are 2 parts to the business so you will be responsible for leading the team and working with the Cafe Manager to exceed expectations and deliver a quality product.
The cafe will be running 7 days a week with a breakfast, lunch and takeaway menu and will lead onto catering and so much more!ResponsibilitiesDaily Operations - Hands on responsibility for the daily running of the kitchen, ensuring consistent preparation and high quality food.Team Leadership - Be a motivating and inspiring leader of the team to achieve the best out of everyone.Financial Acumen - Be accountable and have proven understanding of inventory, waste, wastage and food costs.Compliance + Safety - Adhering to all health and safety rules and regulations and maintaining optimal working conditions and expectations.Collaboration - Report to and work effectively with the Cafe Manager to create a happy and supportive workplace, while driving profitability and objectives.Training + Development - Be accountable for and identify training needs and ongoing development of the team.Quality Control - Ensure consistency in the quality of the food product and presentation.RequirementsProven industry experience with at least 2-3 years in a similar role managing kitchen operations with a focus on food prep and presentation.Efficient operational management with understanding of ordering, inventory, stocktake + cost control.Amazing people skills with the ability to engage and develop a positive team.Strong understanding of cafe and catering operations.Passion for great food and the skills to match.A love of the customer experience and ensuring that the standard is high.Solid understanding and interest in current food trends and cafe culture.Great financial acumen to be able to understand how to manage costs and drive business.Flexibility to work the required hours including weekends and some evenings if needed.Apply NowJob ID - 209961To apply online, please click on the apply button.Alternatively, for a confidential discussion, please contact Amanda Dark on ****** the reference number above, or check out our website for other available positions.
