Client based in Northern Suburbs is seeking a delivery driver / yard labourer for a permanent position!
Your new company
Located in the North and trading for almost 20 years, my client specialises in supplying new and recycled building materials to cater to all construction needs. Selling direct to the public, they stock an impressive range of materials, including timber, aluminium, chipboard, MDF, plywood, corrugated iron, and items such as doors, windows, internal sliding, sheeting, basins, sinks, roofing and more.
Your new role
* All round warehouse and yard work - including site clean-up and general labouring tasks
* Operation of forklifts to move materials within the warehouse and yard
* Manual handling of building materials such as window frames, glass and doors
* Loading and unloading goods from trucks
* Truck driving and delivery of products to customers promptly and safely
* Deliveries using trailers
* Use of hand and power tools to assemble, repair and maintain equipment
* Customer service on site
* Maintaining accurate inventory records
What you'll need to succeed
* Current Forklift Licence - LF with previous forklift driving experience
* Full Australian Driving Licence with either MR/HR truck licence capacity is highly advantageous
* Ability to drive a manual vehicle, use a trailer and do deliveries
* Good knowledge of local routes and traffic regulations with strong attention to safety
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to assist customers with product selection and enquiries
* Previous experience in a yard/warehouse setting
* Proficiency with hand and power tools
