Your new role
Systems and Database Administration:
* Create and maintain user/privileged accounts and email accounts, setting permissions for network and system resources.
* Install, configure, maintain, patch, and monitor systems, including physical and virtual servers, storage devices, networking devices, business applications, databases, and backup and replication systems.
* Install, configure, maintain, and monitor new hardware, including multifunctional devices, phones, and related software.
* Maintain and support the Microsoft 365 platform and software licensing for PC and server environments.
* Implement and deploy Standard Operating Environment (SOE) applications to all required users and perform routine audits/reporting of all systems.
* Manage Identity Management systems, including Microsoft Azure AD with Single Sign-On (SSO).
* Perform routine configuration, installation, and reconfiguration of database and related products.
* Perform standard database administration and maintenance tasks.
* Assist in the development of new strategies and improvements for systems, including research into new technologies and products.
Application and Systems Monitoring:
* Monitor servers, storage, databases, network, and communication devices via network and application monitoring software and action alerts proactively.
* Monitor capacity, performance, availability, and other operational metrics; take appropriate action to ensure corrective and proactive maintenance of storage and backup systems to protect and secure business information.
* Maintain and monitor antivirus applications and Windows updates
* Analyze system and security logs and troubleshoot any issues identified for all systems.
* Prepare dashboards and reports for management review based on inputs from different monitoring software.
* Contribute to the planning and implementation of new installations and scheduled maintenance and changes to existing systems.
* Technology Service Desk and Support :
o Provide Level 1, 2, and 3 support to the organisation's employees and users.
o Identify and investigate the root cause of complex problems, incidents, and issues; recommend corrective actions for systems, workstations, and network connectivity-related problems after analysing the data.
o Liaise with staff and external users to complete Technology Service Desk requests.
o Identify strategies to improve the Technology Service Desk system.
o Provide after-hours Information Technology support across the organisation.
What you'll need to succeed
* Working knowledge of Microsoft and database technologies, Active Directory, Exchange, ESX (VMware), MS SQL, Citrix, System Centre Configuration Manager (SCCM), Power BI, storage management, and systems administration.
* Experience in computer operations and systems support in a multiple server environment.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Proven attention to detail and ability to clarify requirements.
* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
* Sound computing skills.
* WA Driver's License
