While the firm's work is predominantly family law and criminal law, it also provides services in estate planning and administration and conveyancing.
We are looking for a motivated, innovative and hardworking Solicitor who is experienced in all facets of Family Law to join our team at our Penrith office.

You will have full autonomy whilst receiving support and guidance. This is a full-time position which will require you to work from the office and travel to Court (including travel outside of the NSW Metropolitan).

Key Responsibilities : Working closely with the Principal on interesting, varied & complex Family law mattersWorking autonomously and taking active carriage of filesManagement of family law matters (both property and children)Attending and running family law directions, interim hearings, dispute resolution conferences, conciliation conferences, hearings and other court commitmentsResearching, drafting and managing all Court documents including applications, affidavits, financial statements, orders, balance sheets, case outlines, submissionsPreparing and reviewing disclosure documentsIndependently and competently advising clients on matters including taking instructions, preparing letters of adviceGeneral day-to-day correspondence and management of the fileAll other aspects of file managementB LawsAdmission to the Supreme Court of New South Wales and High Court rollMinimum 2-5 years post admission experience; however, more experienced candidates are strongly encouraged to applyThe ideal candidate will have : A 'can-do' attitude and proactive approach in all aspects of Family LawStrong communication skills, both orally and writtenStrong attention to detailExceptional drafting skills and written workConfident and experienced Advocate including appearing in hearingsAbility to work autonomously and be proactiveWilling to learn and adapt to new ways of doing thingsExceptional time management and multi-tasking skills including the ability to prioritise tasks and competing deadlinesA demonstrated ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and organise workload to meet tight deadlinesStrategic thinker with a pragmatic approach to complex matter research and client outcome focusWillingness and ability to complete administrative tasks when requiredMust be quick and efficient with handling of filesKnowledge of PEXA and LEAP preferable but not essentialDesirable) Experience in Criminal LawDesirable) Experience in ConveyancingWe reward entrepreneurial thinking.
