Job Description Provide high level administrative support to two Principal Lawyers and their teams. Provide high level case management support including management of court orders and matter deadlines. File and document management. Coordinate appointments, including all correspondence and logistics. Coaching and mentoring legal assistants. Working with the Operations team to coordinate resources for upcoming deadlines. Monthly billing including reviewing and amending narratives. Prepare & format complex legal documents. Preparation of electronic briefs and sourcing out paper briefs. Electronically filing documents through Court portals. Correspond with counsel, courts and clients. Implement and improve administrative processes for a more efficient workflow. Respond to file management queries including iManage and Aderant. Identify and provide training for lawyers and legal assistants when necessary. Skills and Experience Career-orientated Senior Legal Assistant with over 5 years experience in litigation. Strong understanding of legal procedures and the Australian judicial system (Supreme and Federal Courts). Ability to manage legal documentation and correspondence in strict confidence. Proficient in the use of legal software, including document management and case management systems. Advanced O365 knowledge and skills. Experience with monthly billing. Advanced typing and computer literacy skills. Experience in using Bundledocs (e-brief solution) (not essential). Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. A proactive and collaborative approach, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Exceptional organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines. A commitment to maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality and professional conduct. This is a career Senior Legal Assistant role and not suitable for law students. Must have unrestricted working rights in Australia – Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident. Qualifications Senior Legal Assistant certification or relevant diploma and at least 5 years experience in a similar role.
