Your primary focus will be on fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment, ensuring students’ smooth transition and integration into campus life. This role involves extensive direct interaction with student residents, addressing their health and wellbeing concerns, supporting academic achievement, and providing prompt and compassionate responses to their inquiries and issues.In this dynamic and multifaceted position, you will also play a crucial role in promoting leadership development, community engagement, and cross-community activities such as sports and cultural events. Your efforts will contribute to creating a safe, supportive, and vibrant residential community that prioritizes students’ mental, emotional, and physical health. By working closely with the Student Success and Wellbeing team, you will help ensure that all students have access to the resources and support they need to thrive during their time on campus.About the PersonPossesses a degree and at least three years of relevant professional experience, preferably in a student-facing or pastoral care role.Demonstrated expertise in Mental Health First Aid and a strong commitment to supporting mental well-being.Excellent communication skills for engaging with stakeholders at all levels.Proven leadership abilities and strong problem-solving skills.Background in delivering outstanding customer service.Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks efficiently.First Aid certification and experience in multicultural environments.Holds a current blue card and understands Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) regulations.This role involves shift work, including weekends, with standard hours from 15:00 to 23:00. Flexibility is essential as hours may change according to operational needs.Salary detailsThe salary for the position commences at $80,787.14 per annum, plus 12% superannuation.
