Based in Melbourne's Inner Suburbs, we offer a flexible work environment with up to two days of remote work per week. The Role This is a 9-month Fixed Term Contract (with potential to extend) for a Head of Commercial Finance to drive a strategic turnaround project. Reporting to a top-tier CFO, and leading a talented Commercial Analyst, you'll play a critical role in shaping the business's financial and operational future. Key responsibilities include: Strategic Insights : Drive pricing, margin, and revenue strategies. Develop reporting frameworks at brand, category, and customer levels. Financial Planning & Analysis : Lead the 93 forecast, annual budgeting, and support the business during financial year-end. Process Improvements : Build cashflow models and improve financial models for better insights and decision-making. Business Partnering : Collaborate with sales, merchandising, and supply chain teams to align financial objectives with business strategies. Revenue & Cost Optimisation : Oversee complex sales and margin analysis, evaluate promotions, and enhance profitability across 8,000 SKUs. Qualifications / Key Selection Criteria CPA/CA qualified with a degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. Proven experience (8 years) in senior Commercial or Finance roles, ideally within Retail, FMCG, or Wholesale industries. Expertise in FP&A, commercial analytics, and product-based businesses. Strong background in financial modelling, pricing, and margin management. Ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve strategic goals. Resilient and adaptable in fast-paced environments, with a focus on setting priorities and delivering results. Bonus: Experience with FX hedging and exposure to international supply chains.
