GCS are a wholly owned subsidiary of Hahn Electrical Contracting, an Australian owned and run company with offices in Perth, Kalgoorlie & Cloncurry.The position:This position is a residential based role in Kalgoorlie. The successful candidate will need to reside in Kalgoorlie or be willing to relocate. A relocation package will be discussed during the interview for those willing to relocate and who are not currently Kalgoorlie local residents.In this role, you will be a proactive control and communications systems field engineer, providing support to field operations, focusing on equipment installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance.These works include but are not limited to:Installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting communication and control systemsInstalling, maintaining, and troubleshooting audio visual, security, and CCTV systemsProviding assistance and leadership to subordinatesTo be suitable for this position you require the following:Current WA Drivers Licence (essential).Current National Police Clearance or the ability to obtain one.Australian Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, Certificate 3 or 4 in an equivalent fieldACMA open cabling licence (preferred with endorsements)Senior First AidBe agile, have good hand-eye coordination, and be comfortable using power toolsAble to work with confidence under limited supervision and provide detailed reportsBe able to work under pressure, especially in emergency situationsKnow and understand wireless equipment, network protocols, and documentationKnow about computers, telephone and cable equipment, network protocols, and documentationMust have knowledge of all the technical details of how the equipment functionsMust be familiar with electronics, digital radio technology, and cellular systems.A minimum of 5 years’ experience as a technicianIn return you will be rewarded with:Competitive hourly rateSupportive and proactive managementIncome protection insurance (conditions apply)Employee Assistance ProgramNovated leasing options for vehicles (conditions apply)To apply for this position, click the ‘Apply now’ button.
