Our Client RRG Capital Management strives to create value for investors and partners through the management and operation of sustainable real assets in agriculture, food, water management, habitat conservation, and renewable energy to deliver positive social and environmental outcomes. They have a number of farms and agricultural assets in Australia, operating under RRG Australia.A newly created role exists for a suitably experienced Commercial Manager to join the team on a full-time permanent basis. The Role Reporting to the CEO, but working in close partnership with Farm Managers, the Operations Manager, and the Financial Controller, you'll be responsible for: Driving commercial strategy & optimising the profitability of the business Managing and monitoring the performance of all commercial arrangements including the cost of labour, farm inputs, energy & development works Partnering with leadership and management to assess and monitor the financial performance of the farms Managing relationships with key stakeholders - External: customers, suppliers, contractors. Internal: finance team, farm teams Taking a lead role in solving commercial issues as and when they arise – contractual matters, supplier & contractor matters, disputes & performance issues Taking a lead role in negotiating and advising on the terms of commercial contracts Maintaining a comprehensive working knowledge of all key contracts Ensuring contracts remain financially viable and delivered on budget Working with the Marketing Manager to optimise revenue & opportunities Liaising with legal advisors in regard to disputes & other matters as required Establishment and ownership of the commercial risk management framework Ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations Contract administration and commercial reporting as required About You Strong commercial and financial acumen combined with leadership capabilities Advanced negotiation, influencing and stakeholder management abilities Ability to identify issues and areas of improvement and come up with pragmatic, future-focused solutions Strong relationship building skills and the ability to quickly build credibility and rapport at all levels of the organisation Exposure to and a conceptual understanding of contract law and pricing strategies is advantageous Background in agriculture, FMCG, wine, or a related industry will be highly regarded but is not essential In Return Competitive remuneration package (based on experience) + vehicle Hands-on position where you'll be based in Stirling, SA with travel out to various farms Interesting and rare opportunity to influence commercial strategy Growing, successful business with international investment Close-knit, supportive, cohesive team environment Next Steps If you're interested in the position available, please submit your CV and cover letter using the relevant link.
