Civil Engineer The role responsibilities include: Reporting to the lead civil engineer, you will be completing civil design of open and closed drainage structures, retaining walls, laydown and hardstands, underground drainage network and general civil design around the processing plant. Prepare calculation packages in support of the design. Advise lead engineer when project scope is not clear and that assists with changes to comply with project change management processes. Where opportunities arise, support the lead structural engineer on scope management. Cross disciplinary coordination to ensure successful delivery of Customer's requirements. Communicate effectively with the structural engineering team and project stakeholders, including the Customer. Identify issues and problems, develop appropriate solutions, and ask for assistance when required. What you'll have: Bachelor of Civil Engineering or relevant undergraduate degree. Relevant years of experience in structural engineering design in the mining, energy and/or infrastructure sector. Previous experience in either heavy industrial or petrochemical plant projects is not essential but advantageous. Experience in using civil engineering specific software such as Drains, StormCAD or similar and also familiar with software such as MicroStation and AutoCAD would be beneficial. Experience in pavement design. Exposure to MWRA design standards is desirable. Agile with working in multiple platforms and environments including the use of 365 suite and various other collaboration tools. Ability to design drainage networks. Keen attitude to learn new design tools as well as modes of project delivery. Ability to work independently and as part of a team and be highly driven with a focus on delivery and service.
