We are about creating vibrant and lively spaces people WANT to be in.About the role:The role sees you supporting and facilitating the week-to-week accounts for our busy South East Queensland Markets and Events.We are seeking a skilled Bookkeeper to oversee and manage our company’s financial records, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting.This role will appeal to a well-versed and experienced Bookkeeper/Accountant (minimum 3 years in a busy or similar role) who is looking to further their career in a well-established and rapidly growing business.The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining financial stability and supporting decision-making by providing accurate financial data to management.This role reports directly to the CFO and General Manager.What you’ll be doing:General Accounting: Manage day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing.Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow forecasts.Bank Reconciliation: Perform regular reconciliation of company bank accounts and credit cards.Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and organized financial records, ensuring they are compliant with industry standards and regulations.Tax Compliance: Assist with preparation of BAS (Business Activity Statements) and other tax-related filings. Ensure compliance with Australian taxation laws.Budgeting & Forecasting: Collaborate with senior management to prepare annual budgets and financial forecasts.Financial Advice: Provide financial insights to management to help with business decisions, cost control, and profitability.Office Duties: Assist with other financial tasks as needed, including audits, reporting, project-based financial analysis, and general office duties.What we are looking for:Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar financial role.Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.Proficiency in MYOB.Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.Ability to work independently and handle sensitive information with confidentiality.A proactive, flexible, and positive attitude.Peas in a pod:The successful applicant will have a wealth of experience in a similar dual accounts and office management role, also have the following attributes:Excellent interpersonal skills, with impeccable verbal and written communication abilities.Strong attention to detail, good organisation with an excellent ability to multi-task.Ability to meet deadlines and work effectively within a team environment.Have exceptional customer service skills and a positive “can do attitude.”Demonstrated ability to take initiative in problem solving and in exercising judgement.The big cheese:Fun and friendly office environment.Job security in a full-time, permanent position.Attractive remuneration including annual reviews.Excellent variety within the Head Office.If you are interested in this position, please ENSURE your application has a cover letter, including why this role is perfect for you, and creatively includes the word “Coins.”Remuneration:Salary $105,000 + Superannuation, depending on experience.
