Reporting to the Engineering Assurance Manager, you will have the opportunity to demonstrate your ILS supportability engineering expertise and your people leadership skills. This key position will be offered on a permanent full-time basis and will be situated at Garden Island (Potts Point), Sydney. Other interstate locations will also be considered.We embrace flexible work arrangements at BAE Systems Australia, including working a 9-day fortnight and hybrid working.Key responsibilities include:Plan, manage and execute the delivery of ILS supportability engineering activitiesProvide leadership to a small ILS supportability engineering team, coach and develop personnel, ensuring services provided meet business objectivesOversee, provide direction and support in the development of Maintenance Task Analysis (MTA), Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM) Analysis, Level of Repair Analysis (LORA), and Failure Mode Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA)Act as a point of contact and provide ILS supportability engineering advice to the customer and other key internal and external stakeholdersIdentify and investigate ILS supportability engineering problems and risks, formulating strategies for their resolutionAct as the design acceptance representative for the ILS supportability engineering activitiesDrive culture of ILS supportability engineering best practice, efficiency and continuous improvementAbout YOUExtensive ILS, or logistic engineering, or supportability engineering technical experienceDemonstrated experience with Logistics Support Analysis (LSA), Maintenance Task Analysis (MTA), Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM) Analysis, Level of Repair Analysis (LORA), and Failure Mode Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA)People leadership experience with a demonstrated ability to manage an ILS engineering team and provide effective leadership, direction and motivation to the teamGood customer and subcontractor management skills, and the ability to influence and develop effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholdersKnowledge of systems engineering, good problem-solving skills and self-motivationWhilst not essential, Defence Sustainment program experience will be highly regardedWe believe in hiring for potential, we know that some candidates hesitate if they don't tick all the boxes.
