Registered Midwife
Latrobe Regional Health (LRH) are seeking Registered Midwives to join our passionate and dedicated team on a full time, part time or casual basis.
Women’s and Children’s Services at LRH is embarking on an exciting development with relocating into brand new ward areas in the 3A hospital expansion due for completion at the end of 2023. The service is expanding capacity with additional Birth suites and maternity inpatient beds, 24/7 Pregnancy Assessment Unit and a SCN for up to 12 babies. The service is also introducing exciting midwifery models of care with commencement of Maternity Group practice (MGP) in the near future.

About our Thomson Unit
Our Thomson unit is a combined unit providing maternity, surgical, paediatric and neonatal nursery services. Currently it is comprised of 3 birth rooms, 8 maternity beds, 8 level 4 Acute SCN beds and 12 surgical paediatric beds and delivers 900 babies a year.
As a level 5 Maternity Service and Level 4 Special Care Nursery, our Thomson unit is also a referral service for our smaller Gippsland Regional maternity services. We provide the highest level of care inclusive of:

3. Postnatal
4. Domiciliary
5. Lactation support
6. Special Care Nursery

15. Minimum requirement - Bachelor of Nursing and Midwifery or Bachelor of Midwifery
16. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well as part of a team
