THE ROLE: Reporting to the Site Manager, this technical role is vital to ensuring production and quality requirements at Port Gregory’s Mining Operation are met. The Process Engineer’s key responsibility is to provide support to the production teams to ensure safety and production targets are achieved and reported. ESSENTIAL/DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, COMPETENCIES & EXPERIENCE: Tertiary qualification in Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering or similar A minimum of 2 years’ experience in mining or mineral processing operations. Experience in wet concentrating plants and in particular experience with wet gravity and wet magnetic separation, hydro-cyclones and screening, flocculation and pumping would be advantageous. A demonstrated ability to understand and utilize process control applications to improve process metallurgy. Working knowledge of metallurgical test workflow sheets and procedures. Technically competent with good analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent process analysis and technical problem-solving skills. High level of computer skills, particularly Excel. Well-developed verbal and written communication skills. Proven time management, planning and organisational skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Ability to influence team performance and behaviours
