The area of the Council comprises approximately 14 square kilometres and has an estimated population of 46,000 residents, which is growing at 2.5-3% annually. About the Opportunity This position is responsible for assisting with the day to day operations of the Hudson Park Driving Range. This role is responsible for supporting the daily operations of the Hudson Park Driving Range, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for our patrons. Deliver excellent customer service through friendly and helpful interactions, both in person and over the phone. Address customer inquiries and provide general information about the Driving Range. Assist with essential administrative tasks, including handling payments, processing receipts, balancing daily cash transactions, and maintaining accurate records. Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems is preferred but not essential. Perform day-to-day operational duties, such as collecting and cleaning golf balls, cleaning equipment, and ensuring the driving range is kept in a tidy and organised condition. Consistently follow and apply safe work practices in line with Council’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS), and the Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) Act to ensure a safe environment for both staff and customers. About You Experience in a customer service environment with a focus on excellent service delivery. Strong oral and interpersonal communication skills. Proven ability to resolve conflicts and manage challenging customer interactions. Maintain a level of physical fitness suitable for performing tasks required by the role, including collecting and lifting golf balls and equipment. Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and work in a team with a positive attitude. Able to perform basic administrative tasks, including cash handling and record-keeping. Knowledge of and commitment to safe work practices. Flexible with working hours, including weekends and evenings. Basic knowledge of standard procedures in a specific function, supported by at least Year 12 education or relevant training, such as TAFE Certificate Levels 1 & 2.
