Your new role In this role, you will oversee all facets of our financial operations, ensuring the accuracy of financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, and processing payroll in compliance with Australian accounting standards.Some of your key responsibilities will be: Maintain and update financial records using MYOB EXO accounting software. Create and manage Debtor and Creditor accounts, processing all invoices, payments, and receipts promptly and accurately, including Credit Applications. Regularly reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies. Provide weekly Aged Debtor reports to Management. Manage weekly payroll processing, including superannuation contributions, ensuring compliance with statutory obligations and accurate employee remuneration. Collaborate with management on financial planning, risk management, and strategic initiatives. Identify opportunities to improve financial procedures and implement best practices. Provide general administrative support to the Sales and Management teams What you'll need to succeed Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of bookkeeping experience, preferably in a similar industry. Strong knowledge of accounting software (e.g., MYOB) and proficiency in the MS Office Suite, particularly Excel. In-depth understanding of Australian tax laws, GST, BAS, and superannuation requirements. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in data entry and financial reporting. Proven ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously. High level of professionalism and a strong commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
