The Role
The role involves performing marine surveys on behalf of our clients in the ship management and insurance sectors for cargo and vessels.
Key Responsibilities
Inspection of commercial vessels and leisure craft.
Cargo inspection on behalf of interested parties.
Attending casualties and assisting clients on the matter.
Providing technical advice and producing reports
Arrange and supervise repairs to vessels.
Proactive Business Development for the purposes of retaining current business as well as obtaining new business
Carry out Ad Hoc duties and tasks that are allocated to you at the discretion of management and that are within your capabilities and within the scope of your post.

Skills
Prior seafaring career as a navigating officer or engineer
Established network and relationships within the Australian Marine industry
Experienced in Marine Cargo surveying – basic Marine Cargo Loss Adjusting skills an advantage
Experienced in Hull / Machinery Surveying
Experienced in Protection & Indemnity work would be an advantage
Client-orientated and comfortable with self-driven fee generation
Excellent proficiency in both written and spoken English
Able to travel widely across Australia, at short notice
