This position is responsible for the development, implementation and leading the commitment to best practices of WHS compliance and procedures in line with legislation, Group policy, Group procedures and the WHS strategy; ensuring operational objectives are aligned with business requirements. Responsibilities • Ensure the provision of timely and accurate WHS advice for operations and consultants • Maintain appropriate communication between various teams, functions and stakeholders. • Advise all levels of stakeholders on implications of WHS practices to their business • Ensure colleagues, candidates and associates are working in a safe environment up to what is reasonably practicable including providing support to internal staff to achieve their WHS based KPIs and accountabilities through learning and development, mentoring and escalate issues as required • Support with the maintenance and compliance of the ISO45001 WHS standard and support with the annual WHS audit • Provide training and guidance to stakeholders in line with WHS training requirements in the implementation of WHS management systems to continually drive safety culture improvement • Participate in sales and tender processes/meetings prior to customer engagement to assess WHS risk and provide expert knowledge on Adecco’s WHS commitment and service offering to assist in sales process • Review and manage all incident reporting and investigations and provide corrective actions and escalate where required • Review and track all corrective actions to ensure close out or escalate where required • Conduct and/or provide subject matter expert advice in relation to WHS investigations as required • Assist and support with the development and implementation of WHS initiatives • Update WHS practices in response to changing law and regulations, including Industrial Manslaughter and Psychosocial hazards. • Participate in national WHS team activities such as team meetings and information sharing to ensure a strong WHS team exists • Develop and implement targeted preventative strategies to reduce injuries and associated costs of claims in consultation with operations and the Injury Management Team • Conduct regular WHS client workplace assessments in conjunction with Adecco’s customers and consultants • Conduct regular safety activities at customer sites to support awareness and work towards risk and injury prevention through toolbox meetings, conducting observations and attending safety meetings Qualifications • Certificate 4 in WHS or higher • Minimum 3 years practical experience in WHS • Previous experience in labour hire or blue-collar industries is preferred • Exercises practical judgment to minimise company exposure to risks • Efficient time management skills with the ability to prioritise conflicting responsibilities • Proactive with well-developed influencing and interpersonal skills • Demonstrated experience in building rapport and effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders • Ability to analyse and interpret data and present information with insights • Able to work independently and collaboratively in an ever-changing environment.
