Senior Account Manager – Banking as a Service (BaaS)
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Account Manager to drive strategic relationships with institutional clients across banking, payments, web3 and financial services. This role will focus on delivering best-in-class Banking as a Service (BaaS) solutions, ensuring client success, revenue growth, and long-term partnerships.
Key Responsibilities:
* Client Relationship Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for institutional clients, building and maintaining strong relationships with banks, fintechs, web3, wealth management firms, and payment providers.
* Strategic Account Growth: Identify opportunities for cross-sell and up-sell, ensuring the expansion of our BaaS solutions, including virtual bank accounts, domestic and international payment rails, card issuing, and identity verification services.
* Revenue & Retention: Drive revenue growth through proactive account planning, contract negotiations, and performance monitoring. Develop tailored strategies to ensure high client satisfaction and retention.
* Regulatory & Compliance Support: Act as a trusted advisor on regulatory requirements, risk management, and compliance obligations in Australia and APAC financial markets.
* Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with internal teams, including product, risk, compliance, and technology, to ensure seamless service delivery.
* Market Insights & Thought Leadership: Stay ahead of industry trends, competitor movements, and regulatory changes to provide insights that shape client strategies and internal offerings.
* Issue Resolution: Proactively address client concerns, ensuring a high level of service and operational excellence.
Key Requirements:
* 10+ years of experience in account management, relationship management, or sales within banking, payments, or financial services.
* Strong knowledge of Banking as a Service (BaaS), embedded finance, and digital banking solutions.
* Proven ability to manage and expand relationships with institutional clients.
* Understanding of regulatory frameworks, including AUSTRAC, ASIC, APRA, and global compliance standards.
* Track record of driving revenue growth, contract negotiations, and strategic partnerships.
* Exceptional communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
* Experience working with cross-functional teams to deliver client-centric solutions.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate market trends into actionable insights.
* A bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field (MBA preferred).
