Job Duties/Essential Functions • Checks cake order stand for special orders • Checks production schedule for daily needs. Pulls stock from freezer or cooler to fill merchandising area • Removes product from pans • Garnishes and packages baked cheesecakes, seasonal pies, and cakes. Processes all cakes following assembly instruction in Cake Decorating Manual • Places finished product on racks and transfer racks to the cooler, freezer, or wrapping area • Keeps decorating area clean and clear of debris • Ensure the correct date and labelling is being completed • Follows proper Bakery Department, safety, and security procedures and standards • Follows Standard Sanitation Operating Procedure (SSOP) guidelines for cleaning and sanitation of all equipment • Completes and complies with 11 Commandments of Quality Assurance, Food Safety Certification and, all safety training required by warehouse and Bakery Department • Assists with other bakery duties as needed • Provides prompt and courteous customer service to members, employees, and suppliers. Ability to operate vehicles, equipment or machinery • Oven racks, wheeled racks, cake slicing machine, calculator, wrapping machine, scales, pan dollies, apricot glazer, cake scorer, spatulas, cake stamps, icing bags, tips, commercial dishwasher, knives, labeller, mixer. Qualifications (Costco-specific or industry specific skills that candidates should possess) Education/Training: Licenses/Certifications: Other Skills and Abilities: School Certificate or relevant apprenticeship (Trade Certificate) None Cake decorating or comparable experience Basic math skills
