Casual Administration Officer - Scottsdale May Shaw Health Centre About May Shaw. May Shaw Health Centre is a not-for-profit Aged Care provider with facilities located in Scottsdale and Swansea. May Shaw Health Centre Inc. adopts a community-minded approach at its provision of health, aged, and home care services. Our Scottsdale site incorporates a 61-bed Residential Aged Care Facility and a variety of Home Care packages and services. Our Swansea site incorporates a 50-bed Residential Aged Care Facility, 18 independent living units, an Urgent Care Centre, 3 sub-acute beds, and a variety of Home Care packages and services. Role Summary. The purpose of this role is to provide customer service and office administration support for May Shaw's operations. Some key accountabilities of the role are: Process admissions and discharges Provide reception/customer service to visitors, care recipients, and staff members Answer and direct phone calls, including taking accurate messages with prompt delivery Process incoming and outgoing mail Assist with financial procedures, e.g., banking, data entry, receipting, petty cash, care recipient billing within established guidelines and procedures Maintain registers and systems, and records management Provide administration support to other departments and management Other duties, as required, within your knowledge, skill, and experience Skills & Experience. Competent computer skills with some knowledge of the MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook Attention to detail - focus on ensuring accurate preparation of all material in a timely manner Self-manage tasks, demonstrating sound decision-making, problem-solving skills, and time management with the ability to prioritise effectively Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate respectfully and maintain confidentiality Experience in an administration and customer service environment and/or industry experience is desirable Selection Criteria Demonstrated ability to deliver consistent, high-quality outcomes in a timely manner, in accordance with policy and procedure Takes initiative and self-manages tasks as part of a small team Develops meaningful, respectful relationships with a broad range of stakeholders Flexible and adaptable approach to cultural/generational diversity Aligns with May Shaw's Vision and Values - demonstrates, through behaviour, an alignment to and an understanding of May Shaw's values and the criticality of those values to May Shaw's ongoing success Other Requirements Provision of a satisfactory National Police Check Valid working visa, where applicable Current Flu vaccination or preparedness to attain What we offer.
