About the role:
There are multiple position available with GVAMH Shepparton Acute Response Team, with opportunities to work at the Seymour Campus as well.
The Acute Response Clinician is responsible for the provision of care and treatment to consumers of Goulburn Valley Area Mental Health Services that is alert to, respectful of and responsive to the views and needs of consumers, families, carers and their culture and community. The Acute Response Clinician must be able to work autonomously and productively with other members of the multi-disciplinary team to maximise team objectives and maintain a high standard of clinical care.
The successful candidate will have:
* Ability to work a 7 day roster, with shifts ranging between the hours of 7am to 01:30am at the Shepparton campus, and/or a 5 day roster Monday to Friday 8.30 to 4pm at the Seymour Campus
* Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency as a Registered Nurse, Occupational Therapist, Psychologist
* Minimum of three year post-graduate experience
* Be able to demonstrate the ability to review/assess clients and develop risk and safety plans, along with clear managements plan for follow up
* Demonstrates competence in completion of a comprehensive assessment of consumers suffering mental illness including mental state examination and risk assessment.

The Victorian Government has allocated funds to support rural and regional Area Mental Health Services (AMHS) to provide incentives to attract workers to roles that are difficult to fill.
The regional mental health workforce incentive grants will support the attraction, recruitment, and retention of new workers to priority positions across state funded mental health services in rural and regional Victoria.
