Job description: Role: Centre Cook
Centre: Goodstart New Lambton
Employment Type: Permanent / Part Time (25 hours per week)
Hours: 9am to 2pm, Monday to Friday (open to negotiation)

As a Cook at Goodstart, you'll create delicious, healthy meals that fuel young minds and bodies, becoming a cherished part of our community. Your passion for food and commitment to quality will play a crucial role in shaping the daily experiences of the children in our care.
In this role, you will:
* Ensure the safety of children by preparing meals to account for special dietary requirements and allergies
* Use your creativity and organisational skills to plan the menu and order food supplies in consultation with the Centre Director
* Maintain high standards of food safety by ensuring all storage, handling and preparation of food and drinks is hygienic
Work a part time roster of 25 hours per week, 5 hours per day, Monday to Friday.

Join our vibrant team in New Lambton at our charming inner-city childcare centre in Newcastle! With three rooms, we cater to 43 children, supported by a dedicated team of 10 staff members.

You’ll need:
* Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or experience cooking within a childcare setting
* Current NSW Working with Children Check
