Other: Government - State (Government & Defence) Employment Type: Full time Role Details: The Department of Human Services is recruiting for a Screening Transformation program, a two-year initiative aimed at modernising screening services for the future.The Screening Transformation program will deliver an improved screening system to contribute to safeguarding vulnerable people (including children), while providing a fair and robust process for people seeking to join the workforce or volunteer.You will gain exposure to a multi-faceted program of work, using state of the art process and data automation to review and improve operational efficiencies and enable more timely screening outcomes.Improving the efficiency of the screening system will enable organisations to focus on service delivery, and enable workers and volunteers to start serving the community sooner.The Screening Transformation program will: Improve customer experience for individuals Alleviate administrative burden on registered organisations Enhance system stability and performance Expand system capacity for future adaptations Realise internal operational efficiency and improvements Join us and help transform screening checks in SA, and contribute to keeping the most vulnerable South Australians safe.About the Role: The Senior Project Manager is a role within the Screening Transformation Program and is accountable to the Director, Screening Transformation for: Providing leadership, project management expertise and coordination of various complex activities of the Screening Transformation Program.Developing strong partnerships with project managers and teams delivering discreet parts of the Screening Transformation Program.Enabling implementation, solving problems and driving governance arrangements and reporting to ensure the timely and effective delivery of the Screening Transformation Program.Maintaining productive working relationships with all relevant stakeholders required to deliver the screening transformation, associated reform agendas and implementation of strategies and projects.Key outcomes and accountabilities: Lead programs, key projects and initiatives, and provide governance support within the Screening Transformation Program to ensure program deliverables are achieved.Develop, manage and implement systems, reporting and processes to facilitate the set up and ongoing success of the Screening Transformation Program.Provide timely and accurate advice to management and Executive on risks and issues relating to the Screening Transformation Program as a whole and the discreet projects within the program.Take a systems view of issues, collaborate with key stakeholders, and respond with agility to problem solve and remove barriers from project delivery in a highly complex and sensitive environment.Provide leadership by ensuring staff are empowered and challenged to achieve outcomes and develop their capabilities; and identify and provide opportunities for professional development.Provide and champion strategic program and project management and project governance within the Screening Transformation Program and be an exemplar of effective program management for the Department.Prepare high quality written documents, including briefings, Steering Committee Papers, cabinet documents, strategies, project documentation and reports to a range of stakeholders within the required timeframes.Special Conditions: National Police Check required.Employment-related Screening Check required.Some out of hours work may be required.Role Status: Term up to 03/11/2025.Desirable: Industry and/or higher education qualifications in project/program or portfolio management.We're committed to delivering modern programs, services and policy, which strengthen communities.We're looking for people with passion and integrity who are committed to make a difference, so South Australians thrive: Help people who may be disadvantaged, marginalised or in a vulnerable situation.Support people be informed, active participants in decision-making and local solutions.Increase opportunities for positive development of children and young people.Pursue the full participation of women in the state's social and economic life.Engage with Aboriginal families and communities to connect them with access to meaningful services.#J-18808-Ljbffr
