The role
Our Environment & Sustainable Development (ESD) practice are seeking a Senior Lawyer or Senior Associate to join the team based in Sydney on a permanent, full-time basis.
The ESD team are high performing and share a passion for the environment and a solutions-driven approach to working with our clients. The role will see you working on a diverse range of matters but particularly on major infrastructure projects, and the work will include general advice, due diligence, transactions and litigation.
You will work with clients who include Federal, State and local government agencies, as well as large Australian and multinational corporations.
Skills & Experience
To be successful in this role, you will have:
1. A minimum of 4 years' post-qualification experience as a Lawyer from a leading Australian or international law firm;
2. Experience across planning, environment and land acquisition matters;
3. Significant experience of Land and Environment Court litigation;
4. Experience with project, transactional, regulatory, litigation and dispute related work;
5. A collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively with clients, consultants, counsel, graduate lawyers and other parties.
In addition to this, we're looking for a resilient, self-starter. Someone who is able to work autonomously and is focused on delivering a high quality work product and an outstanding service to their clients.
