Sharp & Carter has been engaged by an iconic, Australian owned fashion retailer in their search for an experienced and senior financial analyst to join their high performing and dynamic finance team.
The role
Reporting directly to the Commercial Finance Manager, the primary responsibility of this role is to enable commercial decision making across a number of operational and divisional teams. This will be achieved through the increased visibility of performance and provision of commercial insights. Your ongoing duties will include, but are not be limited to:
1. Supporting the end to end process of annual budget, MTP (mid-term plan) and monthly forecasting. Role dependent, this will be across stores, online, customer experience, technology, marketing, merchandise, and supply chain.
2. Drive commercial decision through critical evaluation of P&L impacts. This is to be inclusive of uplifts and mitigation options, all documentation to be at a level appropriate for executive level consumption.
3. Deliver the analytics, insights and reporting in line with timeframes and business critical requirements.
4. Business partner for success in key areas, i.e. support with insights across business units supported. Key to achieving in this role is your ability to embed yourself within the business units and understand the business challenges and opportunities being worked through.
5. Identify areas for continuous improvement through process, data or modelling and present recommendations. This will be finalised with a completed execution of recommendation.
6. Actively drive collaboration across commercial finance team, with commonalities across challenges and learnings being proactively shared.
Skills and Experience
We are seeking expressions of interest from candidates that are CA/CPA qualified, ideally having started your careers in a Big 4 or large Mid-Tier Accounting firm and have had extensive exposure to large, complex corporates. In addition, you have the confidence and credibility to engage effectively with senior management, and the strong interpersonal and communications skills required to build strong professional relationships at every level of the organisation.
