School of Social Science Part-time (40%), fixed-term position from February 2025 to June 2025 Full-time equivalent base salary will be in the range $78,871 - $105,004 17% Superannuation (Academic Level A) Based at our St Lucia campus About This Opportunity We are seeking an Associate Lecturer in Anthropology to join the School of Social Science for Semester 1 2025. In this role, you will teach the Semester 1 offering of an Anthropology course which is offered to undergraduate students ( ANTH2260: Applied Anthropology and Indigenous Territories ) and engage in the collegial life of the School. Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Teaching: Coordinate courses, deliver lectures and tutorials, undertake assessment and marking, consult with and mentor students, provide guidance to course tutors, markers and facilitators, and adhere to university teaching rules. Citizenship and Service: Engage with collegial life and activities of the School, perform a range of administrative functions, and uphold university values. This is a teaching focused position. About You You will be able to demonstrate: Completed PhD or near completion of a PhD in Anthropology. Demonstrated knowledge in a relevant field of Anthropology. Demonstrated ability to teach effective courses at the undergraduate or postgraduate levels using active learning and flexible approaches to teaching, including teaching online. Well-developed communication, interpersonal and consultative skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues in teaching and learning.
