THE OPPORTUNITY Reporting to the Payroll Manager the Payroll Officer will join a team of five processing a fortnightly Payroll for 3000 Victorian-based employees including: Updating and maintaining payroll records Maintaining leave, sick and overtime reports Applying Awards/Agreements and contracts in relation to overtime and shift allowances Payroll reporting to meet internal and statutory obligations Calculation and processing of termination payments Processing, variations, increases and calculation of backpays Preparation and payment of Superannuation, WorkCover and other payroll deductions Processing Salary Packaging and liaising with external Salary Packaging provider Maintaining administrative procedures and systems Identifying opportunities for improving efficiencies, policies, procedures and practices Managing employee enquiries POSITIVES If stability/security and career progression are high on your list of priorities then this Community Services-based organisation should appeal to you.
