PWR Personnel Division provides a team of skilled professionals specialising in safety and risk management services to the Mining & Resources Industry in Australia.We are seeking a qualified Security Officer to join our client's emergency response team in Karratha.This role offers the chance to work on a flexible roster and become a part of a dynamic team responsible for maintaining security and emergency services on-site.Key Responsibilities:As part of the Security and Emergency Response Team, the Security Officer will be responsible for the following tasks:Security Operations: Control access to plant and processing site, ensuring only authorised personnel gain entry.Operate Access Control System and adhere to Security Access Control and Induction Procedures.Conduct visitor inductions, process visitors onto site, and manage vehicle and bag searches as required.Monitor radio communications and CCTV systems.Perform foot and vehicle patrols, securing plant areas and reporting vulnerabilities.Provide first-response capabilities to site incidents, including traffic management during emergencies or as requested.Assist with mustering operations and ensure personnel accountability during emergency evacuations.Conduct Drug and Alcohol tests.Investigate and report security incidents in a timely and professional manner.Emergency Response: Respond, treat, and transport casualties in line with site medical protocols.Assist with incident management and prepare emergency muster reports.Maintain and ensure the readiness of security and emergency response equipment, including fire appliances and first aid facilities.Undertake regular emergency response training and drills, in coordination with the Emergency Response Team (ERT).Conduct inspections, checks, and basic servicing on-site emergency equipment.Reporting & Compliance: Submit detailed daily operations, occurrence, and incident reports using nominated security software.Attend monthly performance review meetings to assess performance against key performance indicators (KPIs).Maintain professional standards and compliance with Policies and Procedures at all times.Essential Qualifications: Certificate II in Security Operations or a higher qualificationCurrent WA Security LicenceValid C or HR Class Drivers LicenceDangerous Goods Security Card (DGSC)Certification for collecting specimens for drugs of abuse testing (or other D&A testing certification)Desirable Qualifications: Current Maritime Security Awareness Card (MSIC)Basic Fire Fighting CertificateWhite Card (Construction Induction Card)First Aid CertificateAdditional Requirements: Must be prepared to undergo a national police check, pre-employment medical assessment, and drug & alcohol screening as part of the selection process.Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team.Willingness to undertake overtime for emergency call-outs and hospital transfers, when required.Proficient in Microsoft Office; SAP experience is desirable but not essential.Benefits: Work with a reputable client in the Mining & Resources Industry.A structured 7:7 roster offering equal time on and off.Opportunities for ongoing professional development through training in emergency response and security operations.A competitive salary package and flexible employment arrangement.How to Apply:If you meet the above criteria and are looking to contribute to a professional and safety-focused team, please submit your application with your resume and qualifications. #J-18808-Ljbffr
