If you’re passionate about innovation and craftsmanship and want to be part of a team shaping the future of UAS technology, we’d love to hear from you.Role SummaryAs a key member of Rotor Lab's innovative team, you will be responsible for the setup, operation, and maintenance of CNC machines to produce high-precision critical components. You will also collaborate closely with engineering and production teams to optimise mechanical designs, improve manufacturing processes, and manage the inventory of CNC materials and tooling to ensure ongoing production readiness. Additionally, you will contribute to various aspects of our manufacturing processes including setting up and operating specialised electric motor manufacturing equipment, and general assembly procedures.Key ResponsibilitiesWork with CNC lathe and mill machines to manufacture production components for our products.Read, interpret, and generate engineering drawings to ensure accurate production.Provide feedback to improve work instructions.Quality control including component and assembly inspection, measurement, and documentation.Manage CNC material and tooling inventory.Perform additional manufacturing processes such as general assembly tasks, setting up and operating specialised machinery.Collaborate with engineers and production teams to optimise motor design and manufacturing processes.Maintain a safe, clean, and organised work environment.Qualifications:Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade (Fitting/Machining) or Engineering – Toolmaking Trade is highly desirable but not mandatory.Experience and Requirements:Minimum 1+ years industry experience.4+ years industry experience for Senior Machinist.Demonstrated ability using Lathes: Dual Spindle (Live Tooling).Demonstrated ability using Mills.Demonstrated ability to interpret drawings, GD&T.Specific experience with FANUC controls is desirable, but not mandatory.Proficiency in reading, interpreting, and generating engineering drawings, including an in-depth understanding of GD&T principles.Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.Excellent problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.Knowledge of safety protocols and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.Applicants must have full, permanent work rights in Australia.Applicants must be able to obtain a National Police check and other related security clearances that apply to the role and have the ability to meet the requirements for baseline security clearance.Benefits:Competitive salary based on experience.Positive and collaborative work culture.Modern, well-equipped facility.Flexible work schedule for improved work-life balance.Opportunity to work for the only electric UAS motor manufacturer in Australia.
