Role Details
The Manager, Regional and Remote Partnerships is arole within Community and Family Services and is accountable to theGeneral Manager, Remote and Regional Service Development for:
• Providing expert advice at departmental, portfolio, whole ofgovernment and intergovernmental levels.
• Developing and maintaining high level, culturally sensitiveand productive working relationships with government bodies,Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations (ACCOs), Native TitleBodies, non-government organisations (NGOs) and communitygroups.
• Leading complex and sensitive policy development, servicedesign and regional and remote place-based responses to improveoutcomes for Aboriginal people and communities in SouthAustralia.
• Managing sensitive issues and negotiations with keystakeholders and staff.
• Coordinating, implementing, and analysing business systemsthat meet government standards.
Key Outcomes and accountabilities
1. Provide high-level, project focused support to drive strategicgoals and objectives set out by the Safety and WellbeingTaskforce.
2. Support the operational management and evaluation of DHS fundedservices/programs/initiatives in the APY Lands, Far West Coast,Coober Pedy and other priority locations.
3. Provide expert advice of complex policy to support objectivesand drives participation in major departmental and whole ofgovernment.
4. Plan and monitor workloads within the team to maintain a highstandard of services.
5. Ensure the effective integration and coordination of reportingsystems and responses are achieved in line with department anddivision governance requirements and standards.
6. Identify gaps and risk markers in program and/or policy andformulate strategies to address additional or changing needs ofcommunity.
7. Contribute to all aspects of business planning, includingproviding advice and support to the General Manager, Remote andRegional Service Development.
Note: Any other responsibilities in line with the classificationlevel of the role as assigned by Line Manager and/or theDepartment. The responsibilities as specified above may be alteredin accordance with the changing requirements of the role.

Must hold a current Australian issued driver’s licence(equivalent to minimum class C).
Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent level of expertisegained from a combination of experience, training or professionalaccreditation is desirable.
About the Business
Community and Family Services supports vulnerable people andfamilies to participate in social and economic life and buildstronger communities. This division comprises three key areas:
Safer Family Services (SFS) provides awide range of intensive family support services to children, youngpeople and families experiencing a high risk of statutoryintervention from the child protection or youth justice systems.Services also include family support, community development andparenting and youth programs.
The Office for Women works acrossgovernment and the community towards achieving gender equity andpositive change for women in South Australia by developing policyand advising on issues affecting women to improve their safety,wellbeing and economic security. The office also oversees theWomen’s Information Service to support women over the phone,online and in person, as well as regional safety hubs across thestate.
Communities and Justice works towardsbuilding community safety and wellbeing by providing support andservices to children, young people and families in the youthjustice system, building the capacity of communities throughcommunity development projects and working in partnership with thecommunity services sector to respond to people with complex andexceptional needs.

Salary Range: $117,554-121,992 (ASO8)
