The Role
Reporting to the company CEO, this role will lead key retailer relationships with Woolworths and Aldi accounts. The National Account Manager will play the lead role in developing and executing short, medium and long-term strategies to drive profitable growth and category diversification.
Other responsibilities will include;
* Delivering high levels of service and maintaining strong relationships across buying, supply, and product development teams.
* Develop, communicate and execute sales plans in line with business strategies to deliver profitable growth and diversification in accordance with the Company’s strategic plans
* Manage key categories and day to day activities within Woolworths and Aldi, across spreads, nutritional Snacks, Pet and Health Food categories
* Manage promotional mechanics, and P&Ls to ensure positive commercial outcomes.
* Identifying new revenue opportunities, developing innovative solutions for profitable growth
* Alongside NAE, manage retailer product data, NPD management and promotional programs.
* Conduct daily and weekly analysis of scan performance (IRI/ Quantium) and broader market performance.
* Manage accurate sales forecasts, supply planning and DIFOT to ensure resource allocation and production planning.
* Develop and lead monthly retailer performance reviews and category range review presentations alongside National Category Manager
* Weekly and monthly financial reporting and analysis
* Influencing and partnering with internal stakeholders such as Production, Procurement, Marketing, Sales, Category, Ordering, Finance and R&D.
The Person
As Mayver's National Account Manager, you will be experienced in sales and category within the FMCG industry, with strong stakeholder management and communication skills. You'll have a proven ability to manage relationships with key retailers like Coles and Woolworths, driving sales growth and delivering commercial success is essential.
You will also have;
* Qualifications: Relevant Tertiary qualification or extensive demonstrated practical experience within a FMCG environment with Woolworths or Coles
* High level of competency in Excel (medium/ advanced), powerpoint and project management
* Proven successful track record in sales, with an understanding of the strategic approach to long term objectives, and the strength of commercial returns from a partnering approach
* Results driven, possessing a proven track record of delivering against targets
* Demonstrated ability to bring new product from ideation to commercialisation, working collaboratively with the rest of the business
* Expertise in working with IRI and Quantium data tools
* High level of commercial acumen and financial P&L modelling
* Expert in creating and presenting insightful and succinct category review presentations
* Experience in planning and executing profitable sales strategies and range reviews with a long-term focus
* A results-oriented mindset, consistently meeting targets and negotiating large contracts
* Excellent communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
* A customer-centric mindset and a genuine desire to provide exceptional service
* Positive attitude, adaptability, and a willingness to learn and grow.
