Multiple opportunities available for a Field Officer, working a 2:1 swing between Perth and Karratha
Your new company
A government organisation based in Karratha, are seeking multiple hard-working individuals to work as a Field Surveillance Officer responding to a major incident project. This position will involve working between offices and different site locations across the Karratha area, working on a 2:1 swing from Perth. You will be required to work 38-hours a week, including weekend work, and will be available to start in April. This will be a temporary engagement, paying a competitive hourly rate.
Your new role
As the Field Officer, you will be responsible for responding to biosecurity reports across the Karratha area. Your duties will include:
* Surveillance, destruction and disposal of pests
* Surveying vegetation and water sources for signs of pests
* Maintaining resources and records of findings
* Complying with incident plans, policies and procedures
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be considered, you will need:
* Previous experience working in a physically demanding role
* Excellent physical fitness, with the ability to provide a standard GP clearance
* Current National Police Clearance, valid within the last 6-months
* 2 employment references, one must be from the last 12-months
* Current driver's licence
* Excellent communication skills
What you'll get in return
* 2:1 swing - 2-weeks in Karratha, 1-week off in Perth
* 38-hours a week, including weekend work
* $43.50 per hour + superannuation
