The role:
1. Work with Alcohol and Drug Services (ADS), acute care staff and community sector providers to assist in the implementation of protocols, national standards, tools and practices for use within the Alcohol, Tobacco and Other Drug (ATOD) and by non-ATOD specialist professionals, such as screening and brief intervention tools.
2. Establish, maintain and promote referral pathways to and from acute care and community settings to the Consultation Liaison Service.
3. Receive and respond to consultation referrals from hospital medical, nursing and allied health staff in relation to patients attending the Emergency Department and/or admitted to the hospital wards.
4. Liaise with and provide a consultative service to general practitioners, other professionals and personnel within the Agency, government departments, community sector organisations and private providers.

Permanent, full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.

6. Roles are based in the North and North West regions of Tasmania, working across multiple sites, as required, including the Alcohol and Drug Services, hospitals and within the community sector
7. Travel is necessary mainly within the North West region
8. Other statewide travel may be required
Location: Launceston, Tasmania
Salary: $104,735 to $111,334 per annum + 11% superannuation
9. Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Agreement 2019
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
10. Post Graduate Allowance of up to 7.5% based on qualification type
11. Professional Development Allowance of up to $500 per annum

12. Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse
13. Working with Children Registration

14. Holds, or is working towards, a tertiary qualification in the Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) field
15. Current Driver’s Licence
