The Team Leader Macarthur/Wingecarribee OPMH Community Team will be responsible for leading a well-established multidisciplinary team providing high quality, recovery focused services and contributing to planning and quality improvement across the broader OPMH service. What You'll be Doing The Team Leader is responsible for the leadership, guidance and line management of the Older People Mental Health team in collaboration with their manager. They provide supervision, support and clinical expertise within Mental Health services for the delivery of safe, timely, compassionate and high quality, recovery focused and person-centered care. They are involved in planning, implementing, evaluating and reporting on services. They identify opportunities for improvement in clinical practice, as well as service delivery and develop and lead ongoing quality improvement activities with other staff and teams within the district. Relevant qualifications as either: Occupational Therapist currently registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA); Qualified Social Worker which provides eligibility for registration with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW); Full Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) with full endorsement in the area of Clinical Psychology or eligibility to progress to ‘Clinical Psychology Endorsement’ with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and Completion of an Australian Psychology Accreditation Council accredited postgraduate Clinical Psychology qualification of no less than two years full time duration or recognised equivalent; Registered Nurse, currently registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Demonstrated ability to lead a team in the provision of effective, evidence based, recovery-oriented assessment and treatment services within an acute, community based context. Demonstrated senior clinical knowledge and extensive experience relating to clinical practice in the field of mental health including relevant qualifications or equivalent work experience. Demonstrated excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, and demonstrated ability to negotiate and manage conflict as well as maintain a positive workplace culture. Proven ability to evaluate clinical services and implement the principles of Continuous Quality Improvement based on the EQUiP National standards and Work, Health and Safety in relation to service delivery. Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment.
