About the Role
WorkPac are currently seeking Boilermaker/Machinist to join our client, where you will play a pivotal role in our clientâs workshop operations. Reporting to the Branch Manager, you'll be responsible for fabricating metal parts, welding, equipment maintenance, and ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
Duties and Responsibilities:
4. Fabricate metal parts and sub-assemblies.
5. Perform sub-arc welding up to AS/NZ1554.5 Standards.
6. Conduct equipment maintenance and servicing.
7. Complete weld reports and associated paperwork accurately.
8. Ensure compliance with OH&S practices.
9. Inspect equipment for malfunctions.
10. Maintain workshop cleanliness.
11. Assist in loading/unloading trucks and packing pallets.
12. Operate various machines including borers and rim rotators.
13. Perform welding using Manual Metal Arc Welding process.
Skills & Experience Required:
14. Current Australian driverâs licence
15. Forklift Licence
16. Proficiency in metal fabrication and welding techniques.
17. Strong knowledge of AS/NZ1554.5 Standards.
18. Ability to operate hand and machine tools effectively.
19. Familiarity with OH&S regulations.
20. Attention to detail and ability to interpret technical drawings.
21. Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
