Job Description
* Drive sales for accommodation, conferencing, and functions across a portfolio of ALH hotels.
* Part-time opportunity - 20 hours/3 days per week, remote working from Hobart.
As a Business Development Executive, you will be responsible for developing accommodation, conferencing, and functions business for a portfolio of ALH hotels by driving new business opportunities from key market segments and effectively managing existing business relationships.
What You’ll Do
* Promote, sell, and secure new business opportunities for the venue across accommodation, conference, and functions.
* Target new business and manage existing business relationships across inbound, groups, corporate, and events markets.
* Grow sales through actively managing existing client relationships.
* Build/maintain relationships with key volume clients in all relevant markets.
* Participate in all tenders upon request.
* Negotiate and contract a level of new and existing business to maximize income.
* Maintain a minimum level of sales calls and cold calls per week.
* Represent at industry functions and tradeshows where appropriate.
* Support local and state marketing activities to grow income.
* Maintain client database, contracts, and agreements effectively.
Qualifications
What you’ll need:
* Proven results and experience in a Business Development Executive/Manager role; exposure to the hospitality industry would be advantageous.
* Previous exposure and experience with a variety of markets.
* Experience in managing key customer relationships.
* Professionally presented with excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
* Team player with a hands-on attitude.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
