Psychology, Counselling & Social Work (Healthcare & Medical)
Centacare Kimberley has entered an exciting stage in our journey to develop integrated social support services that empower people to make the changes they believe will be beneficial to their life. New opportunities have enabled the organization to commit to the development of a Therapeutic Family Support Service focused on providing culturally secure ways of working with people in the West Kimberley region of Western Australia.
These changes have created an opportunity for a qualified Social Worker with experience in delivering Therapeutic Services to join our team at Centacare Kimberley in a senior leadership position. This is a new role that works closely with the CEO to provide guidance and support to the organization's Family Support Services staff as they work to deliver quality support to children and families engaged with the Child Protection system in Western Australia.
We are looking for a person committed to the delivery of culturally secure services, who can demonstrate a high level of experience and skills in the supervision and guidance of a strong Indigenous staff group, and the design and delivery of innovative support services. The person we are looking for needs to have excellent written and oral communication skills, with the capacity to maintain stakeholder relations, the ability to monitor and direct service delivery, and the capability to prepare quality reports that highlight the achievement of service outcomes.
To be considered for this role, applicants must submit a current resume that is accompanied by a cover letter of no more than 2 pages. The cover letter should clearly demonstrate your professional skills and experience working in the Social Services or allied Sector. It is important that all candidates are able to demonstrate the award of a Social Work degree or an allied tertiary qualification. To support an assessment of your suitability for this role, you can request a Job Description Form by emailing Michael King at ******.
As an organization, we are committed to the employment of local people, and we strongly value and encourage local Indigenous participation in all roles across the organization. We can provide a competitive salary, along with 11.5% superannuation, 5 weeks annual leave, a range of salary sacrificing benefits, a fully maintained vehicle for private use within our region, and an accommodation allowance can be made available to the right candidate.
